Score
Last year, when I was doing a little Christmas shopping, I picked up this dress for $9.99 at the Burlington Coat factory. It is soooo soft and the draping is very forgiving. Also I can throw it in the washer and dryer and not worry about ruining it.
I wore it while I was pregnant...
and now it's great because it's stretchy and therefore not a problem with my 15 lbs. heavier body right now. It's SUPER hot outside this week and it's a huge bummer to not be able to fit into any of my shorts.
Another awesome score I made...these wedges, for $4.99, also at Burlington Coat Factory. I really hate going in that store because it is so messy and disorganized that it makes me feel like a crazy person, but really sometimes it is worth the effort.
And I'm rocking some handmade jewelry (by me!) I still really love making jewelry, and I might open my Etsy store back up one day. For now it's just too expensive, and plus my little Leah spirit gets sad when nothing sells :( I know Etsy is a HUGE selling community and it just takes time...but still. :(
Baby A got restless during the shoot and had to be picked up...here I'm trying to make her smile, because she smiles now!

Throw on and Go Classic...
I had an OB appointment early this morning, and between getting the three of us up, fed, and ready, and the twenty minute drive there, I didn't have a lot of time to dress myself. It's even harder to grab an outfit and go these days because of course some things either just don't look good right now or aren't comfortable.
Here's a classic 'throw on and go' outfit-A slouchy sweater, skinny jeans, and booties that will look great whether you're expecting or not!
I added some pearl studs and chunky rings to keep it simple but add some girly touches since the boyfriend sweater has such a masculine feel to it.
Sweater-my husband's
Jeans-Motherhood Maternity
Booties-Macy's
20 weeks!!
I also got just a couple pictures of my running-errands outfit yesterday, before my camera died. Just a cotton tunic and some leggings, but it was actually one of the most comfortable preggo outfits I've worn so far (not counting pajamas, of course!)
Tunic-Wal-mart (I got it on clearance for literally $7!)
Leggings-Old Navy Maternity
Boots-Target
Earrings-Kendra Scott
And there's my wee bump again! I really liked this outfit because it skimmed my stomach enough for me to look pregnant (I still feel a little self-conscious about being in that stage where it looks like you're gaining weight but isn't always obvious that you're pregnant), but wasn't tight or form fitting.
I'm trying to drag myself through the rest of this day...the G baby woke up at 5:20 this morning, which is about an hour earlier than usual...an hour really makes a difference these days!

Sunshine
Seriously, getting anything for free is like a little ray of sunshine in your week. I don't know what is up with my luck lately, but I have won giveaways from two different blogs this week! Ladies, enter giveaways-you just never know!!
Here are my spoils from the {posh} daisy shop, this amazing flower headband and beaded line necklace. They are really both so beautiful in person. And the headband looks beautiful on, even with your hair down. For some reason, I have a hard time finding headbands that don't make my hair look all wonky when it's down...it's hard to explain, but with the soft stretchy band on this one, it doesn't make your hair pouf out on the sides. It just works!
Thank you so much Cerrisse for the amazing giveaway-seriously, you made my week : )
If you guys want to check out Cerrisse's wonderful blog and shop, click here or here.
And yes, this is my "outfit of the day post' for today. It was grocery day...and I was hoping everyone would focus on my beautiful new headband and not my lame outfit, hehe.

What I REALLY wore
Yep. This is my outfit of the day. The picture is blurry, but it serves it's purpose. When I get home from whatever errands I'm running, I change immediately back into my pajamas. Everytime my husband comes home and I'm still in jeans, you'd think I'm going off to prom or something. Which is good in some ways (I mean, if I want to impress my spouse all i have to do is slap on some jeans) but kinda tells me I might need to step it up a notch around the house. This (below) is actually stepping it up a notch. Usually pajamas for me consists of either my husbands sweatpants (if I'm cold) or shorts (if I'm hot) and a baggy t-shirt. If I'm feeling really sexy, I'll wear my big blue fuzzy robe over the shorts and t-shirt. lol.
This pj legging/long sleeve tee set from Victoria's Secret would actually look pretty cute if I didn't have my husband's tube socks on. Side note, this is one of two pj tops that I actually wear out in public as a regular top. Please don't judge me.
Hmmm...laptop-check. Bible-check. Instyle magazine-check. Yep...must be G baby naptime! Only this sight is getting rarer and rarer these days...because now I'm usually face down on our living room couch listening to either Giada at Home or Martha Stewart Living while I take a nap myself. Giada and Martha both have soothing voices. If Rachel Ray comes on, I wake up. hehe.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!! I am having a great day today because 1)After physically feeling like crap took a complete toll on my attitude and morale for the past week I did some serious praying last night to snap out of it and woke up in a much better mood and relatively low nausea.
and 2) I won an awesome giveaway from The Posh Daisy Shop!! I am so excited!!
If you follow blogs, you really should try to participate in giveaways when you can. This is the SECOND time I have won a giveaway-the first was some really amazing Mary Kay mascara from the awesome blog Raising Rylin which I totally meant to do a review for but haven't gotten around to yet.
You just never know, and most of the giveaways out there are AWESOME!

Tunic Time+Tips for wearing over-the-knee boots
I bought this awesome Karen Kane tunic this Spring on clearance at Belk for literally $100 off (it was originally $118-I got it for about $16.) It's silk and feels so luxurious, not to mention big enough for my growing tummy!

Okay, so...over-the-knee boots are awesome, but a little hard to pull off. My advice is to wear them with either:
-Tailored shorts. (Not jean shorts. I feel like if you have an amazing pair of over-the-knee brown suede boots, this could be an exception though.)
-A full skirt. Just make sure that the boots rise above the hem, as in you can't see where the boots end, OR make sure the boots end at least an inch below the hem of your skirt. Don't ask me why...it just works. Basically, if your boots end right where your skirt begins, it's going to look weird.
-And of course, really tight jeans or pants.

See how the boots disappear under the skirt?

Girly girl
I always feel happy with myself when I take a piece of clothing of my husband's and use it in an outfit. I am completely in love with the chambray button-down fall staple that is popping up everywhere, but I totally don't own one! Now that I'm pregnant, I feel like a button-down isn't the best investment for me right now, lol. So, this is my compromise.
I tried to really enjoy wearing this outfit, because I could almost not zip up the skirt at this point. I think this is probably the last time I will be able to wear this skirt in a LONG time!

Lately
Lately you are probably not too impressed with my blog. It's cool, I'm not either. Please don't stop following/reading, I swear I am trying to get my camera situation and self back on track. In the meanwhile, here's what I wore to go to the mall with my husband and the G baby this weekend.
Long Sleeve T-shirt-Liz Lange for Target
Leggings-Kmart
Booties-Macy's
Necklace-Walmart
Watch-Guess
Not the most exciting outfit, but I am down to one pair of jeans that I can button, which makes my choices pretty limited : ( I am going to really try to not buy a bunch of maternity clothes since I am planning on this being my last pregnancy, but I'm not totally sure what my best options are at this point, so...leggings.
On a completely unrelated note, here is a picture of my Shiba Inu challenging a large black snake that came right in our front yard to a duel.
You know how people always say to kids, "they're more afraid of you than you are of them?" I think it's a load. This snake came right up to us, here is my foot (in tights, lol), there is the snake.
Came right up and slithered along our front porch. I think it was around 5', but the first Spring we lived here we had a 7-8 footer frequent our back patio. I'm not a huge fan of snakes being in the yard where my son plays, but I am less of a fan of mice in the house, which is pretty common in a large farmhouse out in the country like ours. So I'm pretty ok with a black snake or two patrolling the perimeter. So far I haven't seen any poisonous snakes in our area.
I also have a question for you moms out there...since I've been pregnant, I've been making homemade chocolate chip cookies on the regular. Of course I let the G baby have one too, but every time he gets a stomachache. I can't figure out why one cookie would hurt his stomach.
And he's had all of the ingredients before, to my knowledge. Chocolate, sugar, flour, butter-all things he's eaten before. Is it possible that one homemade cookie is just too rich for a three-year-old tummy? Anyone have a similar experience?!?

Yippee!!!
I finally bought some new clothes. Thank you Target. It's funny, because a lot of times I ask myself why I continue to buy so many clothes from Target even though I would rather support privately-owned small boutiques more often, since I find the initiative in going for your dreams and opening one so inspiring. But when it comes down to it...I am never disappointed in my Target purchases. Sure, sometimes I go in there and see literally nothing that I want to buy, but a lot of my favorite pieces of clothing are little gems that I have scored from the retail giant. So...here's to you, Target!
(Sorry again for the picture quality. I had the camera set on the wrong settings and didn't know until I was finished, and exhausted. Even posing for pics is a little much for this pregnant lady at the moment.)
Tee Dress-Target (buy here)
Tights-Express
Booties-Target (buy here)
Scarf-Dollar General
Watch-Guess
Bracelets-Gifted
Side note: My husband hates these shoes. If you buy leopard platforms, the man in your life is more than likely going to hate them. But I know that men don't know balls about style, so I say...suck it, husband!

Strong Shoulder+Surprise!
This hasn't been the best couple of days. The camera that I use to take all my pictures has finally bit the dust (it is literally one of the first digitals that came out on the market and a hand-me-down from my Ma...it's about 11 years old. I knew this day was coming) and I cannot forsee in the near future me being able to replace it with anything decent. Hence the not-so-great quality of the pictures below.

I love the detailing on the shoulder of this top. This is also one of the necklaces that I wear the most-it was so cheap! Wal-mart is carrying more and more awesome costume jewelry.
And now for the surprise...if you follow my blog closely, you might have noticed I've hinted around some. But here it is.........

Yep!! The G baby is going to be a BIG BROTHER!! This Spring! This is my teeny tiny baby bump, which has appeared much much sooner than last time. I still had to arch my back a bit for effect, otherwise it kinda just looks like I ate too many waffles for breakfast this morning, hehe. My husband and I are very excited and it's been a whole different experience this time being an experienced wife and mother rather than a college student/model. Last time I literally had to cancel plans to move into a model apartment in Miami...talk about where life (God) takes you! So there's my news.
Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!!!
